On September 12, 2019, Evolution Theatre Company hosted an introductory celebration and panel discussion of the new World Premiere Play, THE TURKEY MEN by Douglas Whaley at the historic Kelton House in downtown Columbus, OH.

 

The event was moderated by play director, David Allen Vargo, and organized by Mary Lynne Bennett and Mark Phillips Schwamberger, Managing Artistic Director for Evolution Theatre Company. The panel of experts consisted of playwright Douglas Whaley, Civil War historian Keith Shannon of the Kelton House Programming Committee, and Dick Hoffman, Board Member of the Hilltop Historical Society which is responsible for the care and monitoring of the Federally appointed Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery, formerly the Camp Chase, Confederate Prisoner of War Camp, in Columbus, Ohio.
